Ramadan Preparation with Ease

Ramadan Preparation with Ease

By: Sondos Amer

I have to confess, I’m not the best planner. No matter how much I try to be organized and prepare for appointments, interviews, or other important events that come up in daily life I still end up facing it with a lot of stress, anxiety, and only a little preparation.

Unfortunately, that was what the plan was leading to for this coming Ramadan 2026. For the beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan there's always a sense of excitement. There’s anticipation for the arrival of community, family, the taraweehs, the comfort of iftars, etc.

Ramadan encapsulates a sacred experience where everyone prepares for togetherness. But with those positive emotions there can also be not so great emotions of overwhelmingness. It can be because of the new schedule, or because of the stress of preparing for school or iftars, or maybe just feeling like you can't reach your goals you made for yourself. Throughout the years I've learned that these emotions are all completely normal to have, and if you’ve ever experienced the same, know that you’re not alone.

To ease these feelings I decided to pick up a new product in-store at The Nour Company called the Taraweeh Essentials tote bag.

Inside the bag are a Quran stand, a portable prayer mat, hand sanitizer, and a tasbeeh digital counter. In Islam it’s rewarding to be consistent even if it is in a small way. And I want this bag to help me achieve this consistency without feeling overwhelmed. Like when I’m making tasbeeh and might lose focus or get distracted in any way, the counter guides me to get back on track. With my portable prayer mat I can feel motivated to make time and go out to the masjid to pray taraweeh or if I’m traveling I can feel confident I can make the time to pray wherever I am. And if Maghrib prayer sneaks up on me while I’m busy then I can use my hand sanitizer to eat a date and break my fast. Every item helps quiet my mind and makes me take a moment to live a little slower. And if I always have my Quran stand with me then I can take that time to sit down and read whenever these quiet moments arrive.

May Allah make it easy for all of us. I also encourage any one interested in picking up this bag to add your own customizable use to it. It can be personalized to assist you in your own Ramadan goals. About a year ago I started to use a personal notebook for Ramadan to track the days I fasted, the days I need to make up in the future, and if I had time to read a little Quran all in one checklist. It’s an incredibly rewarding and satisfying feeling to have something to look at to get a sense of my visual progress. Adding your own personal notebook to your taraweeh essentials tote bag can be a great addition to take it anywhere you go very easily. In the midst of feeling a little chaos it’ll bring a feeling of tranquility if we allow ourselves to sit down for a moment to write some reflections or simply check off a box.

Another Ramadan prep tip is adding a reusable water bottle into your Taraweeh Essentials tote bag. During taraweeh and afterward it will be helpful to stay hydrated after a day of fasting. And as Muslims we need to try our best to be environmentally friendly and aware so it will also be a rewarding addition to your bag.

I want to continue to improve myself as a Muslim and bring my soul closer to my deen this Ramadan. That’s why I wanted something to bring my mind a little bit of clarity, and I chose this Taraweeh Essentials tote bag so I will be able to have everything in one place. And with this specific Taraweeh Essentials tote bag from The Nour Company I’m reminded that I have a place to go if I ever need inspiration to get motivated with getting closer with my deen. I know I can visit The Nour Company to find new Islamic books that can deepen my Islamic knowledge and fit perfectly in my tote bag for reading on the go. Or if I need a backup abaya for taraweeh to add to my bag then I know The Nour Company has my back.

If I clear my mind then I can lead myself to be closer to my Creator. May Allah guide us all to the right path and bring us all closer to Him this Ramadan, Ameen.
